Susan Berumen joined the Archives in June 2008. Susan brings impressive skills and experience to the job. Born and raised in Orange County, she has a Bachelor's degree from UC Irvine, a Master’s degree from New York University and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences from San Jose State University.
Chris Jepsen, Assistant Archivist
Historian Chris Jepsen has been with the Archives since 2003. In his free time, he serves as president of the Orange County Historical Society, writes The O.C. History Roundup blog, and is the “O.C. Answer Man” for Orange Coast magazine. While completing his Bachelor's degree at Cal State Fullerton, Chris was a docent at the Heritage Museum of Orange County.
Steve Oftelie, Research Assistant
The fourth generation of his family to call Orange County home, Steve graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor's degree in film production. He assists the Archives with digitization of its vast photo collection and other film preservation projects.
